at first glance, to most, this would appear to be a little girl's room in desperate need of some tidying up. serious tidying up! and who would let their little girl play with all those dishtowels? and are there not BOOKshelves for those books that are obviously not being read?

well...look closer. please. do you see how the little *mommy* has so tightly tucked in each of her 4 most cherished buddies? and has provided each with their own book? the buddies are having snoozers. if this photo had audio, you could even hear the "imagination movers" singing to these tired buddies. bailey dog (brown dog, who you can see at the bottom of the photo). elmo. and the 2 you cannot see - freckles and preckies.

linnea loves her buddies. she takes very good care of them. these are her friends. her constant companions. her confidants. and i respect that. and love that about her!

(sometime perhaps i will write about my own childhood buddies...one who is lovingly on a shelf in linnea's room. fluffy bluestone is now almost 37 years old)
